The nighttides eddy around my feet
as I cross aeon shifting sands
slick with the rime
and briney salt tang of the waves
across the borderlands
of sea, salt and stars

The dust of myriad encrusted forms
a vortex beneath my feet
the dark cauldrons of rockpools
prescient with the limpid, crawling
and tentacled writhings of anemones
communing in frenzied liquid ecstasies

A bruised sky billows
with myriad nacreous forms
the swirling vaults above
bespattered with a minutiae of stars
the shoreline shifts, mutates
like the cyclical writhings
of snakelings in utero

I stride onwards,
alert and prehensile as the vixen
combing the shorelines
for disgorged offerings
spat from the seas
the spectral maw of the ocean
an ever present ghost

Doll with handpainted face, dreads wrapped with silk ribbons, hand sewn clothing with silk, wool boucle, cashmere. Intricate thread wrapped belt with wooden and bone charms, necklace, wire headdress. Intricately embellished hooded cloak is removable and can be worn with hood up or down.

On a wooden base with textured and 'seaweed' details and felt bottom.

Doll is fixed to stand.
