Meester StoorWorm

£295.00

"People mocked when Ashipattle said he would kill the StoorWorm, but he got hold of a burning peat and a boat and sailed out to where the worm was sleeping. When the worm yawned, the boat was sucked into its maw. Ashipattle used the peat to set fire to the monster's inside and the worm died slowly, shedding teeth which became the islands of Orkney, Shetland and the Faroes. Finally the worm curled up and its body became Iceland." - from Legendary Beasts of Britain, Julia Cresswell
